We manufacture Australian Solar Cable to 125C AS5033 including Solar Termite Protected Solar Nylon cable. In Australian DC Solar cable we manufacture HV cable to AS/NZS1429.1 including in Australian Nylon HV Solar Cable for Australian Solar farms and Wind Farms.
The Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee EL-003, Electric Wires and Cables, developed this standard to replace AS/NZS 1429.1:2000.
The following important differences exist between this edition and the prior edition:
(a) The conductor size range has been increased to 1 600 mm2.
(a) The insulation, separation sheath, metal sheath, and oversheath thickness specifications have been aligned with IEC 60502-2.
(c) MDPE has taken the position of PE as an oversheathing material.
(d) Collectively screened cable constructions are no longer required.
(e) There is now a requirement for a qualifying test report.
(f) The approved range has been changed.
(g) The minimum installation bending radius and required drum barrel diameter have been increased to accommodate triplex wires.
(h) The requirement for a sample test has been made mandatory.
IEC 60502-2, Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages from 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) up to 30 kV (Um = 36 kV), Part 2: Cables for rated voltages from 6 kV (Um = 7,2 kV) up to 30 kV (Um = 36 kV) IEC 60811, Common test methods for insulating and sheathing materials of electric cables and optical cables (all Parts) The nominal cross-sectional areas of the conductors specified herein are identical with the values specified in AS/NZS 1125, Conductors in insulated electric cables and flexible cords. The dimensions for insulation and oversheath thicknesses are identical with the values recommended in IEC 60502. Certain tests and criteria in this Standard are more stringent than those in IEC 60502. Two types of insulation compounds are specified in this Standard, namely insulation comprising cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and insulation comprising ethylene propylene rubber (EPR).
The specifications for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulated cables for fixed installations for electricity supply at operating voltages ranging from 1.9/3.3 (3.6) to and including 19/33 (36) kV are specified in this Standard.
AS/NZS1429.1 cable – Electric cables—Polymeric insulated
AS/NZS1429.2 cable – For working voltages above 19/33 (36) kV up to and including 76/132 (145) kV
In Medium Voltage MV Australian Cable and High Voltage HV Australian Cable in AS/NZS1429.1 and AS/NZS1429.2 or IEC60502.2 and IEC60502.1 cables in both low density screen fault rate and high density screen fault rate of 10.1KA and above like 13.1KA, 24.1KA screen fault rate. Our HV Cable includes SWA armoured, HDPE, LLDPE, Nylon HV, underground HV cable & Australian mining HV cables. We manufacture UV stabilised and Tree XLPE (TR-XLPE) HV Australian Standard cables, including Triplex HV 3X1 Core cables.
